Emergency Roof Tarp Installation in Miami-Dade County

Based in Miami Gardens. When a storm crosses the county, we are already inside it.

Or text us a photo of the damage — we can size the job from the picture.

Active damage

Call us before the next band of rain

If you can see sky from inside, or water is coming through a ceiling right now, that is a phone call, not a form. We can size most jobs from a photo.

Local

A Miami Gardens crew, not a regional call centre

Our address is 5424 NW 199th Terrace, Miami Gardens, FL 33055. After a storm, distance is the only thing that decides who gets covered first, and most of the companies competing for this work are north of the county line with Broward and Palm Beach queues ahead of you.

We start the day inside Miami-Dade. For Hialeah, Opa-locka, North Miami, Miami Lakes and Golden Glades that is often the difference between this afternoon and Thursday — and between a stained ceiling and a replaced one.

Miami-Dade specifics

Why repairs here take longer than you expect

Every one of these pushes the permanent fix further out — which is what decides whether you want a tarp or a wrap.

High Velocity Hurricane Zone

Miami-Dade and Broward are the only two HVHZ counties in Florida. Roof assemblies here carry product-approval requirements nothing else in the state has to meet, which is one reason a permanent repair takes longer to specify and start than homeowners expect. The waiting is the gap our wrap is designed to fill.

40-year recertification

Buildings in unincorporated Miami-Dade and most of its cities face structural and electrical recertification at 40 years and every 10 years after. Recertification regularly surfaces roof work that has to be scheduled rather than done on the spot — and a roof that has been flagged still has to keep the rain out in the meantime.

Milestone inspections and phased condo work

Since SB 4-D and the legislation that followed it, condo and co-op associations are running milestone inspections and funding structural integrity reserves. That has pushed a lot of roof work into phases spread across months. Shrink wrap lets an association keep units dry between phases instead of gambling on the forecast.

The storm season everyone plans around

June through November, and the back half of it is when the roofers fill up. After a named storm crosses the county, every contractor in Miami-Dade has a queue. Temporary protection stops being a nice idea and becomes the only thing available.

Which one do you actually need?

Tarp today, or wrap for the season?

Both stop water. They do it for very different lengths of time. If your repair is weeks out — and in South Florida after a storm, it usually is — the wrap is the cheaper decision.

Shrink wrap and tarp compared across the five things that decide the job.
Roof shrink wrap Emergency roof tarp
Lifespan 6–12 months of real protection 30–90 days before it needs attention
Wind resistance Heat-shrunk tight to the roof — nothing left loose to catch wind Can lift or tear in high wind, especially at the edges
Water seal Heat-sealed seams, genuinely watertight across the whole surface Sheds water well; seams, laps and fastener points are the weak spots
UV performance UV-resistant film, rated for months of Florida sun UV-resistant too — built for weeks of exposure, not a whole season
Cost Higher up front — it is an installed system, not a cover Fast and cost-effective when you need coverage today
Best for Long repair waits, insurance delays, hurricane season, anything you cannot re-do in 60 days Immediate emergency cover, short waits, a repair already on the calendar

Our process

What happens after you call

  1. Call or text us

Send a photo of the damage if you can. We can size most jobs from the picture and give you a number on the phone.

  2. Free on-site assessment

We come out, get on the roof, and tell you exactly what it needs — shrink wrap, a tarp, or a repair. No charge, no obligation.

  3. Same-day protection installed

Our crew installs the protection the same day wherever we can. Water stops getting in before it costs you a ceiling.

  4. Documentation for your claim

Before-and-after photos, a written scope, and dated records your adjuster can use — so the mitigation you paid for is on the file.

Questions

Emergency tarping in Miami-Dade — questions we get

How fast can you tarp a roof in Miami-Dade?

We are based at 5424 NW 199th Terrace in Miami Gardens, inside the county. That means we start the day inside the county rather than driving down into it. Text us a photo of the damage and we will give you a real time for your address rather than a slogan.

It just stormed and everyone is booked. Are you?

After a named storm crosses Miami-Dade, every contractor in the county has a queue — us included. Being local is what shortens it: we are not driving down from Palm Beach to get to you. Call early rather than late; the schedule fills in the order the phone rings.

Which parts of the county do you cover?

All of it, incorporated and unincorporated — Miami Gardens, Hialeah, Opa-locka and North Miami through Doral and Miami Beach, down to Kendall, Cutler Bay, Homestead and Florida City.

Will my Miami-Dade insurer pay for the tarp?

Florida policies generally require you to prevent further damage after a covered loss, and temporary protection is normally part of meeting that duty. We photograph the damage before we start, write the scope and date everything so your adjuster has usable records. Confirm the specifics with your own adjuster.

My repair is months out because of HVHZ permitting. Is a tarp enough?

Probably not. Product approval and permitting in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone regularly pushes a permanent repair well past what a thirty-to-ninety-day tarp covers. If that is your situation, ask us about shrink wrap instead — six to twelve months, heat-welded, and cheaper than tarping twice.

Can you tarp a condo or an apartment building?

Yes. Multi-building and phased work is common here, especially with milestone inspections running. We can cover a section while another is being worked on so units below stay dry.
