Emergency Roof Tarp Installation in South Florida

Storm damage does not wait for your roofer's schedule. Call us and we will get cover on it.

Or text us a photo of the damage — we can size the job from the picture.

Call now if

You need a tarp today

  • You can see sky, decking or insulation from inside.
  • Water is coming through a ceiling or down a wall right now.
  • Wind lifted or tore off a section of covering.
  • A tree, branch or debris went through the roof.
  • Tiles or shingles are gone and more rain is forecast.
  • Your roofer cannot start for days or weeks.

Call or text and we will tell you exactly when we can be on your roof.

Why the hurry

Your policy expects you to stop the damage spreading

Almost every Florida homeowner's policy puts a duty on you to prevent further damage after a covered loss. In practice that means the water that comes in tonight, through a hole you knew about, is harder to claim than the damage the storm caused directly.

This is the real reason emergency tarping is urgent, and it is not really about the tarp. It is about the record: that you acted, when you acted, and what the roof looked like before and after. We photograph the damage before anything is touched, write up what we installed, and date it. Your adjuster gets evidence instead of a story.

The second reason is cheaper to explain. A ceiling costs more than a tarp. Drywall, insulation, flooring and the mould remediation that follows a week of unchecked water will always cost more than getting cover on the roof tonight.

What we document for your claim

  • Dated photographs of the damage before we start work.
  • Wide shots establishing the property, plus close-ups of each point of entry.
  • A written scope of the emergency mitigation we performed.
  • Photographs of the completed installation.
  • An itemised invoice you can submit.
Which one do you actually need?

Tarp now, or wrap instead?

Both stop water. They do it for very different lengths of time. If your repair is weeks out — and in South Florida after a storm, it usually is — the wrap is the cheaper decision.

Shrink wrap and tarp compared across the five things that decide the job.
Roof shrink wrap Emergency roof tarp
Lifespan 6–12 months of real protection 30–90 days before it needs attention
Wind resistance Heat-shrunk tight to the roof — nothing left loose to catch wind Can lift or tear in high wind, especially at the edges
Water seal Heat-sealed seams, genuinely watertight across the whole surface Sheds water well; seams, laps and fastener points are the weak spots
UV performance UV-resistant film, rated for months of Florida sun UV-resistant too — built for weeks of exposure, not a whole season
Cost Higher up front — it is an installed system, not a cover Fast and cost-effective when you need coverage today
Best for Long repair waits, insurance delays, hurricane season, anything you cannot re-do in 60 days Immediate emergency cover, short waits, a repair already on the calendar
Honest advice

Sometimes the tarp is the wrong buy

We install plenty of tarps and they do the job they are for. But if your roofer is eight weeks out, or you are calling us in June with a whole season ahead of you, a tarp means you will be paying someone to do this again — probably in worse weather.

In that situation roof shrink wrap is the cheaper decision, not the expensive one. Heat-welded, no field fasteners, six to twelve months of cover. We will say so on the phone if it applies to you.

Our process

What happens after you call

  1. Call or text us

Send a photo of the damage if you can. We can size most jobs from the picture and give you a number on the phone.

  2. Free on-site assessment

We come out, get on the roof, and tell you exactly what it needs — shrink wrap, a tarp, or a repair. No charge, no obligation.

  3. Same-day protection installed

Our crew installs the protection the same day wherever we can. Water stops getting in before it costs you a ceiling.

  4. Documentation for your claim

Before-and-after photos, a written scope, and dated records your adjuster can use — so the mitigation you paid for is on the file.

Questions

Emergency roof tarp — questions we get

How fast can you tarp my roof?

Call or text us and we will give you a real answer for your address, not a slogan. We are based in Miami Gardens, so Miami-Dade is our fastest response; Broward and Palm Beach depend on where the crew is. After a named storm everyone in the county is calling at once — the earlier you reach us, the earlier you are on the schedule.

How long will a tarp hold?

Thirty to ninety days as a working figure. A tarp is a cover, held by fasteners and weight, and the edges and fastener points are where it eventually gives. In high wind it can lift. If your repair is further out than about two months, shrink wrap is the better value and we will tell you so at the estimate.

Will insurance pay for emergency tarping?

Florida policies generally require you to prevent further damage after a covered loss — that duty to mitigate is normally why temporary protection gets paid. We photograph the damage before we start, write the scope, and date everything so your adjuster has usable records. Confirm the specifics with your own adjuster; we cannot speak for your carrier.

Do I need to be home?

It helps, but it is not required. We can assess, install and document with the homeowner reachable by phone. For an occupied property we will always tell you before anyone is on the roof.

Will the tarp damage my roof?

Any tarp that is going to survive wind has to be fastened, and fasteners mean penetrations. We place them where a roofer will be working anyway, and we document every one. If you want protection with no field penetrations at all, that is shrink wrap.

Should I just get a tarp, or go straight to shrink wrap?

Tarp if you need cover in the next few hours and the repair is already booked. Shrink wrap if the repair is weeks out, if you are heading into hurricane season, or if you do not want to be doing this again in sixty days. Both are real services we install — ask us on the call and we will tell you which one your situation actually needs.
